 Jackson Soloist XL Restoration

modifications:

- Switchcraft Output Jack

- Floyd Rose Brass Block

- Floyd Rose Springs

- fretwork

I bought this guitar long time ago, way back in 1994 so this is pretty much oldie ;) It is still in showroom condition, yet this Jackson needed some restoration work.
I replaced output jack with original Switchcraft made in USA.. works perfect
Next I installed original Floyd Rose Brass Block for extra sustain. Does it work?? Well, I don't see much difference :) but by laws of physics, you add mass to bridge, you gain sustain :) I also replaced springs.
Major job here was fretwork. I did fret leveling, fret crowning and fret polishing. This took me few days to complete and about 50% of time went to guitar setup. Finding "sweet spot" on this guitar was tricky, I mean finding perfect combination between truss rod adjustment, bridge height and springs tension....
but this was worth it.. this is one killer guitar now.
