Fender Player vs. American Stratocaster |
Let
me start with basic question; is Mexican Strat any worst
then American? Since I have both of these, I can tell
you, no, not at all. This is great sounding guitar,
btw, this is 100% genuine Fender :) and I paid about half
comparing to what I paid for my American Strat. If you are
blindfolded, you probably won't be able to tell difference
if this is Made in USA or Made in Mexico. Below I highlighted
differences between Player Stratocaster and American Stratocaster. Most of them
you will not even notice. The most visible difference is
neck shape and nut width.. but this is NOT a matter of "better
or worst". Neck is just slightly different (comparing 2010 American and 2018 Player), adding slightly
different feel to it.. and as far as I know, new American
Strat (2018) also has same Modern C neck profile, just like a Fender Player now. While American Stratocaster was good to go
right out of box, my Fender Player needed some basic
setup; truss rod adjustment, bridge etc... Not big deal, roughly 3-4 hour job.. that saved
me about $800 dollars :) I really love this guitar :) I rate this guitar 5
stars out of 5 :)
